Vassilis Krommydas

Vasilis Krommydas has been involved in triathlon for 28 years as an athlete and coach. He has earned a world-class Ironman record with a record track record in Hawaii before moving successfully to shorter distances, competing in two Olympiads (Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004). His base is in Marathon of Attica and he speaks Greek and English.

Coach Vassilis Krommydas

Former swimmer of the National Team, Vasilis turned to triathlon at the age of 20. At 21, he finished his first Ironman race in Roth at 9:27 and the following year he improved his time by one hour finishing at 8:27. Since then, he has begun a decade career as an elite athlete, while studying Physical Education Science (DEFA), acquiring the highest degree in coaching in Greece.

Some of his most important sporting achievements are the representation of Greece in two Olympiads (Sydney and Athens), as well as the 21-year track record of the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii in the M18-24 (1994-2015) category. Basil is also 16 times National Champion.

In his career he has trained more than 900 athletes of all levels and skills in endurance sports, from beginners to participants in the Olympic Games.
